President's Message

Nippon Paper Papylia Co., Ltd. ("Nippon Paper Papylia") undertakes the specialty paper business, which is one of the core businesses of Nippon Paper Group, Inc. We were newly inaugurated in April 2008 as Nippon Paper Papylia, as part of the reorganization and integration of Mishima Paper Co., Ltd., Kochi Mill of Nippon Daishowa Paperboard Co., Ltd. and the synthetic paper business of Nippon Paper Industries Co., Ltd. Since it's start, thin paper, specialty paper and functional paper have been more refined by our long-cultivated technology.

Total domestic demand tends to decrease because of the aging population and lower birthrate. The violent change of the information technology, such as an electronic book, accelerates further the decrease of paper consumption. It seems that the change of energy source will be carried out rapidly due to the devastating earthquake and the nuclear plant disaster of March 2011.

We will make the fundamentals of our company much stronger by developing the new technology and the new product which can keep up with the rapid change of the society. In addition, we are planning to expand further the specialty paper business including overseas market.

Nippon Paper Papylia sends the functional paper products quickly in accordance with customer's various needs, in many kinds but small lot for example. For all stakeholders, we contribute to the society through wholesome and fair activities.
