President's Message

Nippon Paper Papylia Co., Ltd. ("Nippon Paper Papylia") undertakes the specialty paper business, which is one of the core businesses of Nippon Paper Group, Inc. We were newly inaugurated in April 2008 as Nippon Paper Papylia, as part of the reorganization and integration of Mishima Paper Co., Ltd., Kochi Mill of Nippon Daishowa Paperboard Co., Ltd. and Nippon Paper Industries Co., Ltd.,s synthetic paper business.

In our country, the changing social structure with the falling birthrate and the aging population, the decrease in population, and the advance of IT, has changed the structure of specialty paper demand, which has led to the decreasing demand year after year. We always aim to transform and advance the company to respond rapidly to these changes and to establish a surefire foundation for future development.

Nippon Paper Papylia, as a specialty paper manufacturing company, will respond appropriately to the high-variety low-volume production demand and quickly to meet various needs from customers in all aspects of functionality, quality, and stable supply. In addition, as the prevention of global warming is what we should work on worldwide, we will exert ultimate effort in order to contribute to create a recycling society and build up our compliance system, carry out our social responsibilities thoroughly.

We have manufactured and sold specialty papers over many years, and now we will strive to contribute to the social development extensively not merely in the area of specialty paper, while developing further our technological capabilities "as a thin paper maker" and "as a pioneer of machine-made Japanese paper."
